Internship Opportunities Available Successful applicants will join one of several host teams across Chatham House. Available internship placements include: Africa Programme Environment and Society Centre Europe Programme and Russia & Eurasia Programme (Joint Internship) Events Team Middle East and North Africa Programme UK in the World Programme and US & North America Programme (Joint Internship) Interns will work directly with experienced researchers, policy specialists, and programme teams while contributing to real-world projects and initiatives. What Interns Will Gain The programme provides a comprehensive professional development experience designed to help participants build practical skills and industry knowledge. Interns will: Gain direct exposure to the work of a leading international affairs institute. Participate in policy research and project development. Attend workshops, conferences, and networking events. Work alongside internationally respected experts. Build professional networks across the international affairs sector. Join a cohort of interns and collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds. Key Responsibilities Depending on the assigned programme, interns may contribute to a range of activities, including: Research and Policy Support Conducting background research. Drafting reports and briefing materials. Preparing meeting summaries. Supporting research publications. Events and Project Delivery Assisting with high-level events and workshops. Supporting roundtables and policy discussions. Coordinating administrative and logistical activities. Communications and Outreach Drafting newsletters and invitations. Supporting social media engagement. Assisting with targeted marketing campaigns. Producing audience-focused content. Stakeholder Engagement Collaborating with policy experts and researchers. Internship Details Programme: Molchanov Sustainability Internship 2026–2027 Location: London, United Kingdom Work Arrangement: Hybrid Duration: 6 Months Start Date: 8 September 2026 (or shortly thereafter) Hours: Full-Time (35 Hours Per Week) Salary: London Living Wage (£13.85 per hour) Interns are expected to work from Chatham House’s London office approximately two days per week. Eligibility Requirements Applicants must: Be aged 18 years or older. Be residing in the United Kingdom for the duration of the internship. Hold a valid right to work in the UK by the start date and throughout the internship period. Be available to begin the internship on or shortly after 8 September 2026. Please note that Chatham House does not offer international remote working arrangements or virtual internships for this programme.
