Based in Brussels and active in over a dozen countries, the European Institute of Peace (EIP) is an independent organisation dedicated to fostering sustainable peace. The Institute collaborates with parties to conflicts, representatives of affected populations, European policymakers, and the wider conflict resolution and mediation community. EIP provides practical experience, technical expertise, and policy advice on conflict resolution, employing a variety of tools such as analysis, peace process design, facilitation of policy discussions, and mediation support. The Institute seeks candidates who are inspired by innovative approaches to peace and committed to a world where conflicts are resolved through inclusive dialogue and lasting political agreements. About the Role EIP is recruiting a Programme Officer to join its Climate and Environmental Peacemaking (CEPM) programme, part of the Peace Practice and Innovation (PPI) unit. It works with peace leaders and local communities to address climate and environmental challenges as part of broader peacebuilding processes. A flagship initiative, the Environmental Pathways for Reconciliation (EPfR) project, aims to strengthen sustainable peace in Yemen. It engages local and national actors in environmental dialogue and cooperation, transforming environment-related security risks into opportunities for peacemaking and community engagement.
