However, many promising initiatives struggle to access visibility, donor confidence, and investment because they lack structured impact reporting and strong storytelling. Awards programmes like the STREETS Awards can become valuable growth platforms for emerging organizations, particularly in the Global South. Important strategic insights for applicants include: Clear impact measurement is becoming as important as the project idea itself. Organizations that demonstrate youth employment or skills development often perform strongly in social impact competitions. Strong financial transparency can significantly improve credibility with judges and funders. Community-led approaches and local partnerships are increasingly prioritized in sustainable tourism funding. Early-stage ventures should focus on demonstrating scalability and sustainability rather than size alone. Tourism initiatives connected to climate resilience, Indigenous communities, women’s empowerment, or cultural preservation may attract stronger international attention. Even unsuccessful applicants can benefit from mentorship and feedback that strengthens future grant and investment applications. For organizations operating in developing countries, recognition from international social enterprise awards can help unlock partnerships, media attention, donor interest, and long-term institutional credibility. How to Apply Interested organizations and individuals must submit an online application along with the required supporting documents through the official STREETS International application portal before 15 August 2026.
