The Abia State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has announced the commencement of the second batch of teachers recruitment exercise aimed at filling vacancies across primary and secondary schools in the state. The application portal will be open from 6th November to 19th November 2025. Interested and qualified candidates are encouraged to submit their applications before the closing date. Requirements for Abia State Teachers Recruitment To qualify for the Abia State Teachers Recruitment, applicants must meet the following requirements: Applicants must be below 45 years of age as of 31st December 2025. Must possess a Degree, NCE, Masters or PhD in Education or any related field. Candidates must be willing to teach in rural, remote or riverine areas of Abia State. Both Abians and non-Abians residing in the state are eligible to apply. Persons with disabilities can apply, especially those with Special Needs Education qualifications. Candidates without a teaching qualification can still apply but must obtain one within two years if employed.
