Through scholarships, leadership training, and community outreach, the Foundation provides opportunities for young women to pursue higher education and develop as leaders and problem-solvers. The WAAW Foundation Scholarship enables female undergraduates in Africa to focus on their academic goals without the burden of financial stress. Beyond financial support, each scholar is encouraged to volunteer and lead STEM outreach projects at their universities, inspiring younger girls to explore science and technology careers. The program emphasizes both academic excellence and community engagement, cultivating women who will contribute to Africa’s growth through innovation and mentorship. Who Can Apply The 2025/2026 WAAW Foundation Scholarship is open to students who meet the following criteria: Gender and Origin: Female students of African origin, currently living and studying in Africa. Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program at a recognized university or college in Africa. Field of Study: Must be pursuing a STEM-related discipline, such as science, engineering, mathematics, or technology. Level of Study: Open to students who are in: Their first or second year, or Their third year of a five-year undergraduate program. Age: Applicants must be below 32 years old. Academic Record: Demonstrated academic excellence through strong grades and references. Financial Need: Must show clear evidence of financial need. Leadership and Service: Proven record of leadership, volunteering, or community engagement. Application Process The application process is designed to ensure fairness and transparency.
