The University of Edinburgh is offering three fully funded Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarships for eligible postgraduate programmes commencing in the 2026–2027 academic year. This prestigious award is designed to support outstanding students, particularly from Africa and other eligible low- and middle-income countries, who demonstrate strong academic merit and a clear commitment to contributing to their communities through advanced medical and health-related education. Scholarship Overview The Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarship aims to strengthen global health capacity by enabling talented students to access high-quality postgraduate education at the University of Edinburgh. The scholarship is aligned with the University’s commitment to education beyond borders and capacity building in regions facing the greatest health challenges. Award Coverage Each Glenmore Postgraduate Scholarship provides: Full tuition fee coverage for the entire duration of the programme Coverage of additional programme costs, where applicable, as listed in the University’s degree finder Funding applicable to both online learning and on-campus postgraduate programmes Eligibility Criteria The scholarship is awarded to applicants who meet all of the following requirements: Have been accepted for admission to an eligible postgraduate programme at the University of Edinburgh for the 2026–2027 academic year Have firmly accepted, or be intending to accept, the offer of admission Preference is given to candidates holding an unconditional offer at the time of the scholarship deadline Have not previously had the opportunity to study at Master’s level Intend to continue working in countries that will benefit most from their advanced medical education after graduation Are currently domiciled in one of the eligible countries, as defined by the University’s interpretation of the DAC List of ODA Recipients Applicants must be ordinarily resident in one of the eligible countries listed by the University. Domicile is defined as the applicant’s country of ordinary residence and must fall within the specified eligibility list. How will successful completion of the programme support the applicant’s career and personal development? How will the knowledge and skills gained enable the applicant to contribute to their community, region, or country? Application Process Applicants must complete an online scholarship application through the University’s student portal. Key steps include: Applying for admission to an eligible programme at the University of Edinburgh Allowing sufficient time for system checks, which may take up to five working days after submitting an admission application Accessing the scholarship application via EUCLID through the MyEd portal using the University User Name (UUN) and password Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply well in advance of the deadline to avoid technical issues.
