Numerix offers the Women in Finance Scholarship as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting and advancing women in capital markets. The programme is designed to encourage talented female graduate students pursuing careers in finance, particularly in technical and quantitative areas of the industry. Programme Overview The Women in Finance Scholarship is an annual initiative that provides financial support to one outstanding female graduate student. The award is intended to help strengthen the pipeline of women entering specialised finance roles across global capital markets. The scholarship focuses on students pursuing careers in areas such as: Asset management Risk management Fixed income Derivatives and structured finance Originally launched in 2014 under the FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship, the programme continues under Numerix with the same mission of increasing female representation in advanced financial fields. Scholarship Value and Structure The selected recipient receives a total award of $20,000 USD, structured as follows: 50% paid directly to the educational institution 50% paid directly to the student This structure is designed to support both tuition-related costs and personal financial needs during postgraduate studies. Eligibility Criteria Applicants must meet strict eligibility requirements to be considered for the scholarship. Academic Requirements Enrolled full-time in a Master’s or PhD programme in Finance Studies must begin no earlier than 1 January 2026 or no later than 1 February 2027 Program must be at an accredited university Professional Experience Requirements Less than 10 years of total work experience Less than 5 years of experience in the financial sector Must be actively pursuing a career in capital markets or related fields Additional Requirements Must be a female applicant Open to citizens of any country Must be pursuing a finance-related postgraduate degree Target Career Paths The scholarship is designed for students aiming to build careers in high-skill areas of finance, including: Financial asset management Market and risk analysis Structured financial products Fixed income markets Derivatives trading and analytics These fields are critical to modern capital markets and require strong quantitative, analytical, and technical expertise.
