The Centre for Communication Governance at NLU Delhi (CCG) is a leading research institution focused on information law, technology policy, and digital governance in India. The centre works on critical areas such as privacy, artificial intelligence, Internet governance, digital rights, and online regulation. The internship programme is designed to support the centre’s mission of strengthening public understanding and policy discourse around digital governance, privacy, equality, discrimination, and access to information. About the Organisation The Centre for Communication Governance at NLU Delhi is based at National Law University Delhi and is widely recognised for its interdisciplinary research on law and technology. The centre contributes to: Evidence-based policy research Public engagement on digital rights issues Capacity building in technology governance Development of communication strategies for research dissemination Its work connects legal scholarship with real-world policy challenges in the digital age. Purpose of the Internship The Communications, Community, and Strategy Internship is designed to provide practical experience in research communication, digital outreach, and strategic engagement. Interns support the dissemination of research outputs and contribute to improving public understanding of complex policy issues. The programme focuses on building skills in: Strategic communication Digital content creation Policy outreach and engagement Research translation for public audiences Key Responsibilities Interns will work closely with the communications and strategy teams to support ongoing projects and outreach activities. Core responsibilities include: Content Creation and Communication Developing content for social media campaigns Writing press releases, blog posts, and communication materials Supporting public-facing communication strategies Design and Multimedia Support Creating visual content such as graphics and presentations Assisting with audio-visual editing and production Supporting multimedia storytelling for research projects Strategy and Outreach Contributing to communication strategies for research dissemination Supporting stakeholder mapping and engagement activities Assisting with event planning and implementation Research Support Tools Updating policy tracking systems such as the CCG Policy Tracker Supporting data organisation using tools like Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel Internship Structure and Duration The internship is structured to offer flexibility while maintaining meaningful engagement. Duration: 6–8 weeks (extendable based on performance and availability) Format: Full-time or part-time Mode: In-person (preferred) or remote Full-time interns are expected to be available Monday to Friday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Candidates who can commit full-time or work on-site are given preference. Eligibility Criteria The internship is open to a diverse group of applicants with interest or experience in communication, policy, and digital media. Eligible candidates include: Students of media studies, journalism, mass communication, design, advertising, or marketing Students of law, public policy, or social sciences with communication or design experience Applicants with prior experience in content creation or design tools Candidates proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets Preference is given to applicants with demonstrated skills in digital communication and visual storytelling.
