The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM), in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and multiple African universities, invites applications for the TAGDev 2.0 Programme Scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic year at University of Eldoret, Kenya. This programme aims to strengthen African universities and TVET institutions while empowering young people to drive inclusive, climate-resilient transformation in agriculture and agrifood systems. The scholarship targets economically disadvantaged but academically competent students, with particular encouragement for females, refugees, internally displaced persons, and persons with disabilities. Application Deadline: 1 May 2026Submission: Online via RUFORUM RIMS portal or University of Eldoret Eligible Programmes Applicants may apply for the following undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at University of Eldoret: Undergraduate: Bachelor of Education in Home Science Technology BSc Entrepreneurship BSc Agribusiness Management Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry and Rural Development Postgraduate: MSc Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering MSc Computer Science MSc Agricultural Extension Education Admission Requirements: Undergraduate: Minimum C+ in KCSE with specific subject requirements depending on programme; holders of diplomas, CPA/CPS, or higher diplomas may qualify for advanced entry. Postgraduate: Second Class Honours (Upper or Lower Division) with relevant field experience as applicable. Eligibility Criteria Applicants must: Be Kenyan nationals or East African citizens under the East Africa Higher Education Protocol Be economically disadvantaged, from marginalized communities, or from conflict/post-conflict areas Be under 30 years for undergraduate and under 35 years for postgraduate programmes Have completed secondary school or diploma within the past two years (up to four years for refugees/IDPs) Meet University of Eldoret admission criteria for the intended programme Demonstrate interest in agriculture, agribusiness, and entrepreneurship Exhibit leadership qualities and commitment to community transformation Female applicants are strongly encouraged Ineligible Applicants: Current holders of other scholarships or beneficiaries of TAGDev scholarships Those found falsifying information or engaging in misconduct Scholarship Coverage The TAGDev 2.0 Scholarship is a full board, comprehensive scholarship covering: Tuition fees and academic costs Research, workshop, and conference expenses Living costs including stipend and hostel accommodation Laptop provision Internship and field attachments Community engagement initiatives Entrepreneurship training Special Support for Refugees, Displaced Persons, and Persons with Disabilities: Travel documents for refugees and displaced persons Assistive devices for PWDs to support learning and mobility Renewal and Performance: Scholarships are renewable annually, based on satisfactory academic performance (minimum grade B) Retaking more than four courses or involvement in misconduct may result in scholarship withdrawal Recipients are expected to become champions, entrepreneurs, and change-makers, remaining engaged with RUFORUM and programme alumni networks Application Procedure The application process involves two stages: University Admission: Submit your application to University of Eldoret via: Address: University of Eldoret, P.O.
