Denison University’s Department of Religion is inviting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Religion specializing in Islam. Position Overview The Assistant Professor will contribute to Denison University’s undergraduate Religion curriculum through teaching, research, advising, and service. Teaching responsibilities are expected to include an introductory course in the study of religion, a survey course on Islam, thematic seminars focused on Islamic traditions, and additional topical or theoretical courses that support the Religion major. The successful candidate will also teach writing-intensive courses that fulfill the university’s writing program requirements. Denison’s standard teaching load is five courses per academic year.
