Griffith University – Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship The Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship at Griffith University recognises and rewards outstanding international students commencing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees in 2025 or 2026. The scholarship is highly competitive and designed to support high-achieving students by significantly reducing tuition costs for the full duration of their program, subject to ongoing eligibility requirements. Award Details Scholarship Value: 50% of undergraduate or postgraduate coursework tuition fees. Duration: Applies for the entire degree program, provided ongoing academic and enrolment conditions are met. Study Level: Undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs only. Commencement: Available for students beginning in 2025 or 2026. Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must: Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand. Be a new, commencing student who has received an offer to study at Griffith University before the scholarship closing date. Have achieved a minimum GPA of 6.0 on a 7.0 scale (or equivalent) in previous studies. Meet all academic and English language entry requirements for their chosen program. Enrol as a full-time student starting in 2025 or 2026.Applicants must review the full terms and conditions to ensure compliance with all scholarship requirements. Application Process The scholarship application process involves several steps: Apply for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at Griffith University. Receive a Letter of Offer. Submit a scholarship application by the relevant closing date, including academic transcripts and a personal statement. Applications are reviewed by a university panel if eligibility requirements are met. Applicants are notified of the outcome by the specified date.To receive the scholarship, successful applicants must accept both their program offer and scholarship offer by the deadline stated in their Scholarship Letter. Failure to accept by the specified date will result in withdrawal of the scholarship. Once enrolled, the scholarship amount is deducted prior to the census date each trimester, provided ongoing requirements are satisfied. Students are responsible for paying the remaining tuition balance by the census date. Key Application Dates for 2026 Trimester 1, 2026: Apply by: 29 November 2025 Outcome by: 12 December 2025 Australian Year 12 applicants only: Apply by 3 January 2026, outcome by 13 January 2026 Trimester begins: 2 March 2026Trimester 2, 2026: Apply by: 11 April 2026 Outcome by: 29 April 2026 Trimester begins: 13 July 2026Trimester 3, 2026: Apply by: 15 August 2026 Outcome by: 28 August 2026 Trimester begins: 2 November 2026 Terms and Conditions The scholarship applies only to tuition fees for eligible undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programs. It excludes Higher Degree Research programs, online-only programs, non-award study, Study Abroad programs, Diploma programs, the Masters Qualifying Program, MBA (program code 5158), English language programs at the Griffith English Language Institute, part-time-only programs, and programs delivered in collaboration with partner organisations. Scholarship recipients must remain International Fee Paying students. Any change in fee status will result in loss of the scholarship. Deferral of the scholarship is not permitted. If a student withdraws or cancels enrolment, scholarship funds are non-refundable. Recipients may be invited to participate in Griffith University marketing activities. Scholarship numbers are limited and awarded competitively. Once all available scholarships have been accepted, applications will close. Ongoing Enrolment Requirements To maintain the scholarship, recipients must: Remain enrolled full-time (unless credit prevents full-time enrolment). Meet student visa requirements. Pass all courses each trimester and progress to the next enrolment period. Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 5.5 on a 7.0 scale annually.The cumulative GPA is reviewed annually: At the end of Trimester 2 for students commencing in Trimester 1. At the end of Trimester 1 for students commencing in Trimester 2 or 3.Only GPA-graded courses are included in the cumulative GPA calculation. Students must remain enrolled in the original program stated in their Letter of Offer to retain eligibility.
