Applications are now open for the 2026 intake of the Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Policy Analysis (AFEPA) Master’s Programme. The programme offers a range of fully funded and partially funded scholarships to outstanding applicants seeking advanced expertise in agricultural economics, food systems, and environmental policy. Designed to develop highly skilled professionals equipped to address global challenges such as food security, sustainability, natural resource management, and climate adaptation, AFEPA remains one of Europe’s most respected academic pathways for future policy leaders. About the AFEPA Master’s Programme The AFEPA Master’s Programme is a two-year, multidisciplinary degree delivered jointly by several leading European universities. Its structure allows students to gain an in-depth understanding of agricultural, food, and environmental policy issues from diverse academic and cultural perspectives. Through rigorous coursework, empirical research, and cross-country exchanges, the programme trains students to analyse complex problems and contribute to evidence-based policymaking. Students receive instruction from internationally recognised academics, policy experts, and industry specialists. They also engage in applied research and policy analysis, gaining both theoretical and practical competencies essential for careers in international development, public policy, environmental management, and advanced research roles. Scholarship Opportunities for 2026 For the upcoming intake, AFEPA offers four highly competitive scholarships: Two full scholarships of €1,400 per month for 24 months Two partial scholarships of €700 per month for 24 months These awards support living expenses and, depending on the host institution, may also include full or partial tuition coverage. Selection is based on academic achievement, demonstrated motivation, and a commitment to addressing global agricultural and environmental challenges. Participating Universities AFEPA is delivered through a consortium of renowned European institutions, allowing students to study in more than one country during the programme. Eligibility Criteria The AFEPA scholarships are open to applicants from all countries. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as: Agricultural Economics Environmental Science Food Systems or Resource Management Economics or Development Economics Public Policy or closely related disciplines Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance and provide proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent). Candidates whose previous studies were conducted in English may be exempt from submitting language test results.
