The University of Hong Kong (HKU) Graduate School is now accepting applications for the Summer Research Programme 2026, a prestigious 10-week intensive research training programme designed for outstanding students from around the world. About the Programme The HKU Summer Research Programme is tailored for high-achieving undergraduate and master’s students who are considering research postgraduate studies. Through close mentorship, structured research training, and networking activities, participants gain first-hand exposure to doctoral-level research and academic life at one of Asia’s leading universities. The programme combines individual research projects with professional development activities, enabling participants to strengthen their research skills while building meaningful academic connections. Eligible Applicants Include Outstanding Year 3 or Year 4 undergraduate students with a CGPA of 3.6 or above (or equivalent) Outstanding Master’s students holding a Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours (or equivalent) Selection Criteria Applicants are assessed based on: Academic excellence Strong interest in postgraduate research Previous research experience Interest in interdisciplinary research High proficiency in English Ability to work independently and demonstrate maturity Faculty, Research Area, and Mentorship Each participant will be affiliated with an academic unit at HKU and supervised by a professoriate staff member.
