The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is recruiting a Senior Officer, Health Partnerships to join its Global Corporate Partnerships (GCP) team. This hybrid, full-time position is open to candidates with the right to work in Kenya, the United Kingdom or the United States, with duty stations available in Nairobi, London and New York. The role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced partnerships professional to build strategic collaborations with global health companies, corporate foundations and financial services organizations in support of humanitarian programmes serving refugees and crisis-affected communities worldwide. About the International Rescue Committee Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the International Rescue Committee is one of the world’s leading humanitarian organizations. Operating in more than 40 countries and numerous cities across the United States, IRC delivers life-saving assistance and long-term recovery programmes focused on health, education, economic wellbeing, protection and community resilience. The Global Corporate Partnerships team leads IRC’s engagement with corporations across key sectors including healthcare, financial services, technology and consumer goods. Through strategic philanthropy, employee engagement, pro bono partnerships and innovative fundraising initiatives, the team mobilizes resources that strengthen humanitarian impact around the world. About the Role The Senior Officer will manage a portfolio of corporate partners valued at more than USD 3 million, with a primary focus on the Global Health sector and a smaller portfolio within financial services. The successful candidate will cultivate new partnerships, deepen relationships with existing donors and develop tailored fundraising strategies that generate flexible funding, in-kind contributions and long-term collaboration. Working closely with the Associate Director of Health Partnerships and cross-functional external relations teams, the officer will identify new funding opportunities, design creative partnership activations and contribute to IRC’s growing influence within the global health corporate community. Key Responsibilities The role combines business development, donor stewardship, strategic fundraising and cross-functional collaboration. Corporate Partnership Development The successful candidate will build and manage a high-value portfolio of corporate donors while identifying new prospects across the global health sector. Responsibilities include developing account plans, cultivating executive relationships and expanding diversified funding streams that support IRC’s humanitarian mission. Fundraising and Proposal Development The officer will prepare high-quality partnership materials including concept notes, proposals, presentations, reports and partnership overviews. They will work closely with colleagues to design compelling engagement opportunities that align corporate priorities with humanitarian impact. Strategic Portfolio Management A key responsibility involves establishing comprehensive stewardship plans for each partner, including performance indicators, reporting schedules and engagement strategies that maximize donor satisfaction and revenue growth. Cross-Functional Collaboration The Senior Officer will collaborate with digital communications, creative studios and experiential events teams to leverage health-focused campaigns, virtual engagements and in-person events that strengthen fundraising outcomes and corporate visibility. Who Should Apply? IRC is seeking a highly motivated partnerships professional with substantial experience in the global health sector and a proven record of developing corporate partnerships. Applicants should possess: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Minimum six years of partnership development or corporate fundraising experience. Strong knowledge of global health organizations, funding landscapes and corporate engagement models. Experience managing partnerships valued at USD 500,000 or more annually. Excellent proposal development, presentation and relationship management skills. Strong project management abilities with experience coordinating multiple international stakeholders. Candidates with additional experience in the financial services sector or broader cross-industry corporate partnerships are also encouraged to apply. The role also requires confidence engaging senior corporate leaders and collaborating with colleagues across multiple countries and time zones. Location, Travel and Working Environment This is a hybrid position with employment available in Nairobi (Kenya), London (UK) or New York (USA). Successful candidates will be employed under a local employment contract according to the salary scale applicable in their country of residence. The role may involve remote working alongside office-based collaboration and requires occasional travel, including partnership meetings in the United States and international conferences or stakeholder engagements. Compensation and Benefits IRC offers competitive compensation based on location. Published salary ranges include: United States: USD 95,000–103,000 per year. United Kingdom: £52,210–61,999 per year. Compensation in Kenya will follow IRC’s local salary framework.
