One Young World is recruiting three Programme Fellows for a full-time, fixed-term role running from January to November 2026. Based at 14 Irving Street, London, this opportunity is tailored for recent graduates and early-career professionals passionate about sustainable development and eager to build a career in the charity sector. Vacancy posted: 3 December 2025Application deadline: 19 December 2025Salary: London Living WageStart date: January 2026Contract ends: 30 November 2026 About the Programme Fellows Role Each Programme Fellow is assigned to a specific department for the duration of the fellowship, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the delivery of the One Young World 2026 Summit in Cape Town. Fellows work closely with young leaders from around the world—including social entrepreneurs, activists, technologists, and creatives—building a unique global network throughout the year. This role is ideally suited to candidates who are enthusiastic, organised, socially conscious, and committed to personal and professional development. What the Role Requires Core Attributes A strong interest in social and environmental issues A professional, enthusiastic, and proactive approach Excellent attention to detail Clear and confident communication skills (written and verbal) Essential Skills Active interest in current affairs, sustainability, and global issues Strong organisational capabilities and experience handling complex administrative tasks Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to manage deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment Comfortable speaking with new people, including handling phone calls Fluency in English (additional languages are an advantage) Legal right to work in the UK and ability to commute to or relocate to London Key Responsibilities of Programme Fellows Programme Fellows in the Programmes Team help ensure that outstanding young leaders—regardless of location or financial background—can attend the One Young World Summit. Their work includes: Identifying and Supporting Delegates Researching and engaging with high-impact young leaders globally Supporting application and admissions processes Managing communications with delegates and partners across multiple email inboxes Providing logistical support throughout the programme Logistical Coordination Assisting with visa applications Coordinating delegate flights with travel partners Working with the housing team to secure accommodation Maintaining and updating programme databases During the Summit, Fellows act as the main point of contact for thousands of delegates from more than 190 countries.
