Applications are now open for the 2026 ORIX USA Scholars Program, offering financial support to undergraduate students pursuing degrees in business, finance, technology, and related fields. Established by ORIX Corporation USA and administered by Scholarship America, the program provides scholarships to students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership potential, and financial need. The application deadline is July 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM Central Time (CT). Organizers note that the application portal will close earlier if 200 applications are received before the deadline. Scholarship Supports Undergraduate Students in Key Fields The ORIX USA Scholars Program aims to help students continue their higher education by providing financial assistance to those enrolled in eligible undergraduate programs. Selected students will receive a one-time scholarship award of US$5,000 to support full-time undergraduate study at accredited four-year colleges and universities. A total of four scholarships will be awarded during the 2026 application cycle. Eligible Fields of Study Applicants must plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Finance Accounting Economics Business Administration Marketing Communications Technology Real Estate Human Resources The scholarship is intended exclusively for undergraduate education. Eligibility Requirements To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria: Be a high school senior, high school graduate, or current undergraduate student. Plan to enroll full-time at an accredited four-year college or university during the upcoming academic year. Intend to study one of the eligible degree programs. Reside in or plan to attend college in one of the following U.S. states: Illinois Massachusetts New York Ohio Texas In addition, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria: Come from a low socioeconomic background, with family income at or below 150% of the current U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) poverty guidelines. Be currently in foster care or have previously aged out of the foster care system. Be a first-generation college student, meaning neither parent nor guardian has earned a four-year college degree. Employees of ORIX USA, along with their spouses, dependents, and household members, are not eligible to apply. Scholarship Selection Criteria Recipients will be selected through an independent evaluation process managed by Scholarship America. Applications will be assessed based on: Academic achievement. Leadership experience. Participation in school and community activities. Work experience. Educational and career goals. Personal or family circumstances. Demonstrated financial need. Scholarship America emphasizes that ORIX Corporation USA employees are not involved in selecting scholarship recipients, ensuring an independent and impartial review process. Required Application Documents Applicants must submit all required materials electronically before the deadline. Required documents include: A complete and current academic transcript showing: Student name. School name. Grades. Credit hours for each course. The first two pages of the most recently filed IRS Form 1040, with Social Security numbers and bank account information removed. SAT or ACT score reports if test scores are not included on the submitted high school transcript. Applications missing any required documentation will be considered incomplete. Scholarship Timeline Applicants should take note of the following key dates: Application Deadline: July 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM CT, or earlier if 200 applications are received. Recipient Notification: August 2026. Scholarship Payment: September 2026.
