Salary and Financial Support The fellowship may be offered on either a stipendiary or non-stipendiary basis. For fellows undertaking full-time research, the annual remuneration includes: • Postdoctoral appointment: Annual salary starting from £33,951. • Pre-doctoral appointment: Annual salary starting from £28,777.44. In addition to salary, successful stipendiary fellows will receive employment benefits valued at more than £8,186.76 per year. Researchers who have recently accepted or are about to commence a salaried postdoctoral research position within the University of Cambridge are also eligible to apply for a non-stipendiary Junior Research Fellowship. Eligibility Criteria The fellowships are aimed at outstanding early-career researchers who meet one of the following criteria: • Are well advanced in doctoral research. • Have recently completed a doctoral degree. • Demonstrate exceptional academic ability and research potential. • Are capable of undertaking independent, high-quality research. Candidates applying for non-stipendiary fellowships may already hold an eligible salaried postdoctoral position within the University of Cambridge.
