International Master’s Scholarships Program – Université Paris-Saclay Université Paris-Saclay offers the International Master’s Scholarships Program to support outstanding international students in pursuing master’s degrees in France. This scholarship is part of the university’s strategy to internationalize its programs and aims to facilitate access for talented students who are particularly motivated to pursue PhD studies after completing their master’s. The program is open to students enrolling in master’s programs at any of the university’s affiliated institutions, including AgroParisTech, CentraleSupélec, ENS Paris-Saclay, INSTN-CEA, IOGS, Université Évry Paris-Saclay, Université Paris-Saclay, and UVSQ. Eligibility Criteria Applicants must meet all of the following requirements: Foreign nationality and first-time enrolment in France (students should not have been previously registered in a French higher education institution, except for exchange programs, Erasmus Mundus joint master’s degrees without a French degree, internships, or language programs). Under 30 years of age in the year of application. Students receiving other funding above €600 per month are not eligible. Cannot be combined with France Excellence Eiffel, France Excellence Europa, or Erasmus Mundus scholarships. Admission into a master’s program of Université Paris-Saclay (vocational programs “formations en apprentissage” are excluded). Both M1 (first year) and M2 (second year) master’s students are eligible. Scholarship for M1 students automatically continues into M2 if they complete the required credits. This program also has a bonus system for refugee students or those with subsidiary protection, implemented in collaboration with UNHCR and supported by the MEnS association. Applicants should indicate their status in their statement of purpose. Scholarship Benefits The scholarship provides comprehensive support to laureates: €10,000 per year, paid monthly from September to June. Funding is reduced for months spent abroad (compulsory international mobility, delocalized master’s programs) or during internships outside affiliated labs. Travel and visa support: up to €900 annually, depending on the candidate’s country of origin. Administrative support for visa procedures and accommodation search. Candidates are responsible for securing housing in France. Scholarship and travel support are paid upon arrival in France and registration in the master’s program; no advance payments are made. This financial assistance allows students to focus on their studies and research while minimizing financial barriers. Eligible Programs All academic master’s programs at Université Paris-Saclay are eligible, except vocational programs. This includes programs in engineering, sciences, social sciences, economics, and humanities. Candidates interested in pursuing a PhD after their master’s are particularly encouraged to apply. Application Process Step 1: Apply to a Master’s Program Candidates must first apply and be admitted to a master’s program at Université Paris-Saclay before the scholarship deadline. Late applications cannot be considered. Step 2: Selection by Course Coordinators Course coordinators review admitted students and select candidates for the scholarship. Selected candidates receive an email with a link to the online scholarship application. References (course coordinator, professor, or internship supervisor) may be requested to provide recommendations online. Candidates receive confirmation of receipt but cannot view the content. Step 3: Selection by Scholarship Jury Applications are evaluated by a jury from the graduate schools of Université Paris-Saclay. Evaluation criteria include academic performance, personal project, and motivation for pursuing a PhD (for M2 candidates). Decisions are discretionary, confidential, and final.
