The Young Industry Leaders’ Scholarship, funded by Schneider Electric, is now open to applicants seeking to build advanced expertise in energy management, digital transformation and automation. Designed for future leaders in the energy transition, the scholarship supports students enrolled in selected Master-in-Energy programmes at the EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf, equipping them to take on key roles in a world shaped by rising energy demand and the urgent need to reduce CO₂ emissions. Eligible Master’s Programmes Scholarships are awarded to applicants admitted to one of the following programmes at the EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf: Master of Science in Management of Smart and Sustainable Energy Systems Master of Science in Sustainable Energy and Hydrogen Infrastructures Both programmes are designed to provide interdisciplinary training at the intersection of technology, management, sustainability and digitalisation. Scholarship Award and Benefits The Young Industry Leaders’ Scholarship offers a comprehensive package that combines financial support with real-world professional experience: Full scholarship covering 100% of tuition fees Paid working student contract with Schneider Electric (up to 20 hours per week) Direct exposure to industry-leading practices in energy management and automation Opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a real company environment while studying During the programme, scholars gain first-hand experience working at the interface between customer needs and advanced technology across different departments at Schneider Electric, allowing them to actively shape their career trajectory. Selection Criteria Applicants will be assessed based on the following criteria: Successful admission to one of the eligible Master of Science programmes Excellent academic background in a relevant technical field, such as electrical engineering, energy engineering, energy management systems, mechanical engineering, automation, process engineering, building technology, sustainability, or related disciplines At least one year of relevant postgraduate work experience, with sales, project management, business development or service experience considered a strong advantage Good German language skills at the time of application (minimum B1 or B2 level) and a willingness to continuously improve language proficiency Flexibility and willingness to work across Germany, Austria or Switzerland after graduation, preferably in customer-facing or service-oriented roles Strong enthusiasm for sustainability and a clearly demonstrated digital mindset Intellectual and analytical curiosity, a sense of community, and alignment with Schneider Electric’s IMPACT values Selection Process Applicants must submit the following documents in addition to their regular MSc application: Motivation letter addressed to Schneider Electric Curriculum vitae Proof of German language proficiency These documents should be sent to the course coordinator email address listed on the relevant programme page. The scholarship selection follows a multi-stage process, including interviews conducted online.
