PhD Scholarship Benefits and Funding Selected PhD students receiving scholarships will receive financial support amounting to €16,243 gross annually, paid monthly. Additional benefits include: Up to a 50% scholarship increase for authorised research periods abroad, for a maximum of 12 months. Extended international research support for doctoral students involved in joint supervision agreements. A research activity budget equivalent to 10% of the scholarship value. Scholarship holders are exempt from university tuition fees. All doctoral students must pay required administrative and regional education charges unless eligible for additional exemptions. Duration and Responsibilities of Doctoral Students PhD programmes at the University of Tuscia will begin on November 1, 2026, and will last a minimum of three years. Doctoral students must undertake full-time research activities and complete coursework and research milestones established by their doctoral programme. At the conclusion of the programme, candidates must submit and defend a doctoral thesis demonstrating significant scientific contributions.
