The Policy Center for the New South (PCNS) is inviting applications for its Junior Professional Program (JPP) a structured two-year professional development program based in Rabat, Morocco. This program is designed to provide early-career professionals with a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in research and project management while contributing to policy solutions that affect Morocco, Africa, and the broader Global South. PCNS is a leading Moroccan think tank dedicated to improving economic and social public policies and fostering a stronger connection between research, civil society, and policymaking. The Center brings together a diverse network of researchers and global partners to generate actionable insights, drive informed debate, and support evidence-based policy decisions across multiple sectors. The JPP is particularly well-suited for young professionals with a passion for global development, a strong interest in research or project management, and a desire to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment. About the Junior Professional Program The JPP offers early-career professionals the opportunity to gain extensive experience across policy research, project management, and communications. Participants are employed under a two-year ANAPEC contract, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent contract (CDI) based on performance. This structure provides both professional growth and potential long-term employment within the organization. Through the program, Junior Professionals are fully immersed in the operational and intellectual work of a high-impact think tank, contributing to research, publications, events, and partnerships that influence policy discussions at national, regional, and international levels. Areas of Specialization Junior Professionals can contribute across several tracks, reflecting the multidisciplinary scope of PCNS’s work: Research Tracks International Relations Economics and Political Economy Governance and Civil Society Climate, Energy, and Sustainability Agriculture and Agroeconomics Project Management Tracks Communications and Public Engagement Partnerships and Community Management Publications and Editorial Coordination Finance and Administration Infographics and Multimedia In these roles, participants work alongside senior researchers and project managers, contributing directly to PCNS’s flagship initiatives, research reports, and policy recommendations. Skills Development: The program offers opportunities to enhance analytical, research, communication, project management, and partnership-building skills. Permanent Contract Opportunity: High-performing participants may transition to a permanent contract (CDI) during the program, gaining access to competitive remuneration and social benefits. Qualifications and Requirements Applicants should meet the following criteria: Bachelor’s degree (four years) or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in international relations, economics, project management, or a related field. Strong interest in global issues, African development, and public policy. Demonstrated analytical, research, or project management skills. Fluency in at least two languages (Arabic, English, French, or others). Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
