Key Responsibilities Graduate participants will assist experienced auditors in conducting detailed reviews and assessments of banking processes, technology systems, and regulatory compliance structures. Their responsibilities include supporting audit planning, executing audit procedures, and documenting findings. Core responsibilities include: Assisting with risk-based audit scoping and evaluating the design of internal controls Supporting the coordination and management of audits by monitoring timelines, milestones, and deliverables Conducting walkthroughs, sampling exercises, and data analytics to assess control effectiveness Performing manual and automated control testing, including IT application controls and IT General Controls (ITGC) Executing sample testing and data validation while maintaining high-quality audit workpapers Identifying control weaknesses or deficiencies and assisting in recommending remediation strategies Contributing to continuous auditing and monitoring initiatives, including analytics dashboards and scripts Preparing clear and evidence-based audit findings, supported by root cause analysis Maintaining professional stakeholder engagement, confidentiality, and ethical standards Following established internal audit methodologies and IIA standards Graduates are also encouraged to contribute to Nedbank’s organisational culture and transformation initiatives while actively managing their own learning and development in alignment with professional auditing standards.
