Child Protection Roles Project Assistant (Case Worker) – Kakuma The Project Assistant – Child Protection (Case Worker) is responsible for supporting the delivery of child protection case management services. This role ensures that children at risk are identified, supported, and referred to appropriate services through comprehensive case plans and continuous follow-up. Key responsibilities include: Conducting Best Interest Assessments (BIA) for children at risk. Supporting children and families in accessing protection services. Collaborating with community structures, volunteers, and partners to ensure sustainable solutions for vulnerable children. Maintaining accurate documentation of protection concerns and case management activities. The role reports to the Child Protection Officer or Coordinator and directly contributes to SCI’s child protection programming in the Kakuma and Kalobeyei refugee camps and surrounding host communities. Project Assistant (Psychosocial Counsellor) – Kenya The Project Assistant – Psychosocial Counsellor focuses on mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) for children and families experiencing distress. The position involves delivering counselling services and supporting community structures and partner staff to implement layered MHPSS interventions aligned with international standards. Key responsibilities include: Providing psychosocial support and counselling to children identified through SCI programs or referrals. Building capacity of community volunteers and partner staff in MHPSS. Supporting the identification of mental health concerns and linking children and families to appropriate services. Contributing to child protection programming in Kakuma, Kalobeyei, and the host community under the supervision of the Child Protection Coordinator. Supply Chain Roles Supply Chain Assistant – Fleet, Asset, and Warehouse Management The Supply Chain Assistant supports the Supply Chain Coordinator in ensuring safe and efficient transport, asset, and warehouse management services. This role ensures compliance with SCI’s Fleet Management Policy and contributes to broader supply chain operations. Key responsibilities include: Supporting fleet management activities and ensuring adherence to established policies. Assisting with asset management and warehouse operations. Coordinating with programmatic and departmental teams to ensure efficient logistics and supply chain support. Supply Chain Officer – Sourcing The Supply Chain Officer (Sourcing) plays a crucial role in delivering quality goods and services across SCI Kenya’s programs. The officer is responsible for sourcing activities, supplier management, and ensuring value for money through competitive procurement processes. Key responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining a sourcing pipeline for upcoming procurement needs. Managing supplier relationships and strategic partnerships. Conducting sourcing procedures in compliance with the Procurement Manual. Ensuring transparent, competitive procurement to achieve best value. Finance Role Finance Officer – Shared Services The Finance Officer provides financial and administrative support across SCI Kenya’s country office operations. The role supports payments, account reconciliations, and adherence to internal controls. Key responsibilities include: Managing payments to suppliers and conducting account reconciliations. Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Coordinating with ESARO administration, logistics, and finance teams to maintain compliance and efficiency. Programme Development Role Programme Development Officer The Programme Development Officer (PDO) supports the Head of Program Development and the PDQII team in managing proposals, donor communications, and opportunity tracking. This role ensures high-quality submissions aligned with the Country Strategic Plan. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating proposal development processes and drafting narrative sections. Maintaining donor information systems and knowledge management platforms. Supporting both small-medium and complex proposal submissions. Ensuring proposals are timely, compliant, and strategically aligned with program objectives.
