Senior Analyst Role and Responsibilities The Senior Analyst will serve as a subject-matter expert on conflict and political developments in the Middle East. The position combines research, data management, stakeholder engagement, and project development responsibilities. The successful candidate will work closely with ACLED’s analysis, data collection, and data science teams to strengthen regional coverage and produce impactful research outputs. Key Responsibilities Analysis and Research The analyst will be expected to: Design and implement original research projects. Conduct in-depth conflict and political analysis. Required Qualifications and Experience ACLED is seeking candidates with strong academic credentials and demonstrated professional experience in conflict analysis. Applicants should possess: A Master’s degree in Political Science, Sociology, Geography, Conflict Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field. At least three years of professional experience providing analytical insights to diverse audiences. Extensive knowledge of political and social developments in the Middle East. Expertise related to Palestine, Lebanon, and/or Syria. Strong research and analytical capabilities. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
