About APRI The Africa Policy Research Institute (APRI) is an independent, nonpartisan policy research organisation focused on key issues shaping the African continent. Position Overview APRI is seeking a highly motivated Research Intern to support its work on the Just Green Technology Transition. The role is suited to an individual with demonstrated research experience and strong knowledge of climate change, green technology, and policy issues relevant to Africa. The intern will contribute to research activities, events, content development, and administrative tasks within the programme. Key Duties and Responsibilities The Research Intern will be responsible for: Conducting research, writing, data analysis, and editing across programme topics. Supporting the planning and implementation of workshops, webinars, and related events. Assisting in the creation and management of online content, including images, databases, and digital resources. Providing administrative and operational support to the project team. Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet the following criteria: Completed postgraduate studies in a relevant field, such as climate policy, technology policy, trade policy, or economics. Demonstrated research and analytical experience related to green technology policy in the African context. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong organisational skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently. Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in multicultural environments. For applicants based in Europe: current enrolment at a European university is required (German Pflichtpraktikum).
