About the Fellowship The Early Career Academic Fellowship offers a structured pathway for recent PhD graduates to build strong academic careers while contributing to one of Africa’s leading mathematical epidemiology programmes. Fellows will work within a dynamic, pan-African research environment, collaborating with internationally recognised scientists while contributing to teaching and mentoring activities for Master’s students. The programme is hosted at the AIMS Research and Innovation Centre in partnership with leading institutions including research and public health partners in Kenya. Programme Structure The fellowship follows an innovative 70:30 model: 70% Teaching, mentoring, and academic engagement 30% Dedicated research time This structure ensures that fellows gain both hands-on academic experience and protected time to develop their independent research profiles.
