About the Role Altamont Group is seeking a Project Assistant (Remote) to support its project management team in coordinating and executing diverse projects within the humanitarian and development sector. This role is essential for maintaining project efficiency, ensuring deadlines are met, and supporting the delivery of high-quality outputs. The Project Assistant will work closely with project leads to ensure project plans, timelines, and deliverables are executed accurately. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities The Project Assistant will support project implementation by: Developing project plans, timelines, and budgets Maintaining project documentation, including schedules, status reports, meeting minutes, and related records Organizing and managing SharePoint folders and files Coordinating project team meetings and tracking follow-up actions Monitoring project progress against plans and budgets Communicating project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders Collaborating with project team members to ensure timely completion of tasks Conducting research and preparing reports as required Ensuring proper storage and management of project data and documentation Facilitating communication between the lead consultant and the executive team Supporting project leaders in managing work plans, budgets, schedules, and scope statements Executing project management administrative tasks Reviewing project deliverables to ensure adherence to Altamont Group quality standards Scheduling and coordinating meetings with stakeholders and maintaining interview contact lists Preparing presentations, briefing notes, and materials for client meetings and business development activities Providing research and business development support to the CEO This role requires a deep understanding of advisory and consulting frameworks in strategy, policy, MERL, quality assurance, and eLearning/capacity development to effectively support project teams. Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field Proven experience as a Project Assistant or in a similar role Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies Strong coordination, organizational, and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and project management software Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Flexibility and openness to receiving feedback Ability to manage deadlines efficiently in a remote environment The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of quickly grasping complex project information. Strong writing and editing skills are essential for maintaining high standards in project deliverables. Internship Details Location: Remote (India-based, with communication via email, MS Teams, and WhatsApp) Working Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm GST, Monday to Saturday Contract Type: Remote role supporting multiple projects across the humanitarian and development sectors This position provides an opportunity to gain exposure to international advisory practices, work with diverse project teams, and contribute to projects that advance humanitarian and development outcomes.
