The International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE) is now accepting applications for the 2026 Feminist Economics School, which will be held at Universidad Icesi in Cali, Colombia, from 6–8 July 2026. This immersive program provides a unique opportunity for emerging scholars, activists, and policymakers to deepen their engagement with feminist economics and its applications to real-world challenges. About the Feminist Economics School The IAFFE Feminist Economics School brings together 20–30 early-career participants from diverse academic, professional, and regional backgrounds. Over the course of three days, participants will explore feminist approaches to economic theory, research methodologies, and policy design. The School encourages critical reflection on how economic systems shape gender relations and social inequalities, while also highlighting strategies for transformative, inclusive, and justice-oriented policy action. The 2026 edition will feature two days of workshops led by experienced feminist economists and practitioners. These sessions will address both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of feminist economics, providing participants with tools to analyze and challenge dominant economic paradigms. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in collaborative discussions, peer learning activities, and contextual analysis, fostering an environment of shared inquiry and solidarity. Who Should Apply The Feminist Economics School is designed for: Early-career scholars pursuing research in feminist economics or related social sciences. Activists and advocates working to promote gender equality, economic justice, and inclusive policy reform. Policymakers and practitioners integrating feminist perspectives into development, social, and economic policy. IAFFE particularly welcomes applications from Indigenous peoples, members of marginalized and minority communities, and individuals whose work focuses on advancing equality and justice in economic thought and practice. The School seeks to build a global network of emerging leaders committed to reimagining economics through feminist and intersectional lenses. While basic English proficiency is required, the selection process prioritizes intellectual curiosity, diversity of experience, and a clear commitment to feminist economic inquiry and practice.
