Programme Overview The BRIDGE Internship Programme is a six-month, paid internship that immerses participants in real-world development work across diverse geographic and thematic contexts. Interns are embedded within active projects and programmes, offering them exposure to field operations, research, policy implementation, and cross-functional collaboration. Throughout the programme, interns are encouraged to challenge assumptions, apply analytical thinking, and develop innovative solutions to complex social challenges. The experience emphasizes both professional growth and personal transformation, enabling interns to learn directly from communities, practitioners, and development leaders. Purpose and Vision The programme is designed to: Bridge young talent with meaningful opportunities in international development Equip participants with practical, field-based experience Foster leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving skills Create a pipeline for future early-career recruitment at BRAC By combining structured mentorship with hands-on learning, the BRIDGE Internship Programme prepares participants to contribute effectively to development work at scale. Roles and Responsibilities Interns are expected to contribute actively to their assigned projects while maintaining a strong learning orientation. Key responsibilities include: Supporting day-to-day operations of assigned projects or programmes Collaborating with multiple departments, programmes, and field offices Preparing reports, documentation, and presentations as required Applying research-oriented thinking to problem-solving and programme design Contributing innovative ideas, concepts, or process improvements Assisting with coordination of meetings, events, and field activities These responsibilities ensure interns develop both technical competencies and professional workplace skills. Eligibility Criteria The BRIDGE Internship Programme is open to candidates from diverse academic backgrounds who demonstrate a strong interest in development work. Applicants must meet the following criteria: Graduation from any discipline from a reputed university Bachelor’s degree holders or students in their final semester Demonstrated engagement in extracurricular or volunteer activities is preferred Strong motivation to learn and contribute to social impact initiatives BRAC values diversity and encourages applications from candidates with varied educational and experiential backgrounds.
