Liliane Fonds has announced an opening for an Events and Communication Intern position, offering students and aspiring communication professionals the opportunity to gain practical experience while contributing to a global mission focused on disability inclusion and equal participation. The paid internship will support the work of Liliane Fonds and Share-Net Netherlands, a platform connecting professionals working in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in the Netherlands and internationally. Through this role, the selected intern will help organise events, strengthen communication activities, and support efforts to make knowledge-sharing opportunities more inclusive for people with disabilities. What Is the Purpose of the Internship? For more than 40 years, Liliane Fonds has worked with partners across Africa, Asia, and Latin America to improve the lives of children with disabilities and promote inclusive societies where everyone can participate. As the host organisation of Share-Net Netherlands, Liliane Fonds also supports collaboration among NGOs, researchers, policymakers, and professionals working in sexual and reproductive health and rights. The Events and Communication Intern will play an important role in increasing the visibility of Share-Net Netherlands activities and helping stakeholders connect through conferences, training sessions, digital campaigns, and other engagement opportunities. What Will the Intern Do? The intern will work closely with the Programme, Strategy & Learning team (PS&L) and contribute to a range of communication and event-related activities. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the organisation and coordination of conferences and events. Assisting with logistics, planning, and participant communication. Helping ensure events and training activities are accessible and inclusive for young people with disabilities. Supporting promotion and communication of Share-Net Netherlands activities. Creating content for social media platforms and digital channels. Assisting with follow-up communication after events. Engaging with members, professionals, students, and other stakeholders. The intern will also have opportunities to participate in online and in-person events organised by Share-Net Netherlands and Liliane Fonds. Who Can Apply? Liliane Fonds is looking for a motivated and proactive candidate with an interest in event management, communication, social impact, and inclusive development. Applicants should have: Knowledge of event organisation processes through studies, previous work experience, or volunteering activities. The ability to work independently, organise tasks, and manage priorities. Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse stakeholders. Interest and experience in social media platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn. Experience with content creation. Knowledge of WordPress is considered an advantage. Excellent English communication skills at C1/C2 level. Dutch language skills are not required. Candidates should also identify with Liliane Fonds’ core values of openness, connectedness, and trust. Internship Details and Benefits Position: Events and Communication InternOrganisation: Liliane FondsDuration: Four to six monthsStart Date: September 2026 (exact date negotiable)Working Hours: 32 hours per weekLocation: ’s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands The internship provides an allowance of €450 per month based on full-time employment equivalent to a 38-hour working week.
