The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is inviting applications to its Internship Programme, based in Paris, Île-de-France Region, France. This programme offers highly motivated students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an international policy environment while contributing to the OECD’s mission of building better policies for better lives. Internships are offered on a rolling basis throughout the year and are designed to support both policy-oriented directorates and corporate functions across the Organisation. Internship Programme Overview The OECD Internship Programme is designed to attract students with diverse academic backgrounds who are interested in international public policy, research, and administration. Interns work on projects aligned with the Strategic Orientations of the Secretary-General or support the Organisation’s corporate operations. The programme aims to: Strengthen interns’ analytical, research, and technical skills Provide exposure to international policy-making processes Foster professional growth in a multicultural environment Interns work under the supervision of OECD staff and contribute meaningfully to ongoing projects and initiatives. Policy and Technical Areas Successful candidates may be assigned to one of many policy-focused directorates. Areas of work include, but are not limited to: Agriculture and Fisheries Artificial Intelligence and Digitalisation Bribery, Corruption, and Ethics Competition and Corporate Governance Development and Development Effectiveness Education, Skills, and Employment Energy, Environment, and Climate Finance, Tax, and Investment Gender Equality and Diversity Health and Social Policy International Migration Innovation, Science, and Technology Public Governance and Regulatory Reform Trade, Transport, and Tourism Corporate Function Internships Internships are also available within the OECD’s corporate and administrative services, including: Communications, Media, and Public Relations Event Management Finance, Budgeting, and Accounting Human Resources Information Technology Legal Services Office Administration Translation and Language Services Typical Internship Tasks Interns are entrusted with a variety of responsibilities that contribute to the OECD’s analytical and operational work, including: Conducting research and literature reviews Collecting, organising, and analysing qualitative and quantitative data Supporting the drafting of working papers, studies, and policy documents Preparing background notes, technical annexes, and briefing materials Participating in meetings, seminars, and internal discussions Liaising with officials from national administrations, international organisations, and delegations Supporting event organisation, communications, planning, and evaluation activities Eligibility and Qualifications Academic Background Full-time enrolment in a degree programme throughout the duration of the internship Field of study relevant to the work of the OECD Professional and Technical Skills Prior international exposure through studies, internships, or professional experience is an asset Strong quantitative, analytical, and computer skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Languages Fluency in either English or French is required Knowledge of the second OECD official language is an advantage, with a willingness to reach a working level Core Competencies The OECD is seeking candidates who demonstrate: Strong analytical and research skills Genuine interest in international cooperation and public policy Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong organisational and time-management skills Capacity to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Proven ability to work effectively in multicultural and team-oriented settings Excellent written and verbal communication skills Contract Duration and Application Process Internship duration ranges from one to six months, renewable up to a maximum of twelve months Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until 31 December 2026 Selection processes may take up to three months, and applicants are encouraged to apply well in advance Applicants must indicate their availability in the application form Candidates not contacted within six months of applying may update and resubmit their application using the same email address.
