About the ECOSOC Youth Forum Convened annually by the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the Youth Forum serves as a critical space for young people to share ideas, influence global policies, and contribute youth perspectives to international decision-making processes. The 2026 edition will focus on key global priorities, including: Progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) The role of youth in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation Financing for Development (FfD) Challenges and opportunities for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) Inclusive recovery, climate action, and global partnerships The Forum directly contributes youth inputs to the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) and other UN intergovernmental processes, ensuring that young people’s voices inform global development agendas. Who Can Apply? The ECOSOC Youth Forum is open to young people from all regions of the world, including those from the Global South, who demonstrate a strong interest or experience in: Sustainable development and SDGs Youth advocacy and civic engagement Technology, innovation, and digital inclusion Climate action, social justice, and economic development International relations, policy, and diplomacy Applicants may include: Youth leaders and activists Members of youth-led or youth-focused organizations Students and early-career professionals Representatives of NGOs, civil society, or community initiatives There is no restriction based on nationality, academic background, or profession.
