The internship is designed for graduates and aspiring data professionals interested in using analytics and research to improve agricultural outcomes for smallholder farmers across Africa. The organisation is seeking two interns for a 4–6 month placement within its MEL team, where they will contribute to high-impact agricultural projects while gaining hands-on experience in data analysis, visualization, and reporting. About One Acre Fund Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supports more than 5.5 million smallholder farmers across Africa by providing access to quality farm supplies, agricultural training, financing, tree seedlings, and other farming services. Operating in multiple African countries, the organisation focuses on improving farm productivity, increasing household income, and strengthening resilience among farming communities. Through its combination of business discipline and social impact, One Acre Fund has become one of Africa’s largest agricultural development organisations. The organisation employs over 9,000 staff members from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds, all working toward improving livelihoods for rural farming households. About the Young Professionals Program The MEL Internship forms part of One Acre Fund’s Young Professionals Program, which provides paid internships and development opportunities for high-performing African graduates. Key responsibilities include: Cleaning and analysing primary data collected from farmers and agricultural markets. Managing and interpreting large datasets to generate actionable insights. Creating visualisations, automated dashboards, and analytical reports. Supporting the MEL team with data management and reporting activities. Contributing to projects aimed at improving farmer productivity and service delivery. Interns will work closely with MEL Leads and other team members while gaining exposure to practical research and analytics processes used within international development organisations.
