Location: Ikore Abuja, FCT, NigeriaApplication Deadline: November 28, 2025Employment Type: Internship (6 months)Stipend: NGN 200,000–300,000 per month Program Overview The 2026 Graduate Trainee Program is a six-month immersive internship designed to attract passionate graduates eager to contribute to the growth of agribusiness and sustainable development in Nigeria. Trainees will engage in practical, hands-on learning experiences, collaborating with communities and businesses to design and implement solutions that enhance livelihoods and strengthen resilience. Participants will gain exposure to a range of development-focused roles, including partnership development, project implementation support, and startup and technology management, while working with a dynamic team of development professionals. Key Areas of Focus 1. Partnerships Development Trainees will: Identify and cultivate partnerships and collaborations to drive growth and engagement with stakeholders. Conduct financial and non-financial due diligence and present investment opportunities. Manage proposal pipelines, including technical development, drafting, narrative review, and finalization. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and support donor engagement. Meet with potential partners and investors to present company offerings and negotiate agreements. 2. Project Implementation Support Trainees will: Support the management and implementation of development projects to ensure goals are achieved. Facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure transparent communication. Produce timely reports on project status, analyze risks, and manage resources. Coordinate multiple interdependent projects and liaise with local and international partners. Identify rural market opportunities and design intervention strategies for market development. 3. Startup and Technology Management Trainees will: Evaluate new business models to create value and competitive advantage. Assess market opportunities and innovation feasibility within the agricultural ecosystem. Develop product strategies, competitive analyses, roadmaps, and Product Requirements Documents (PRDs). Program Benefits Trainees will embark on a 24-week professional journey, gaining: Mentorship from industry experts. Eligibility Criteria Applicants must: Hold a First Class or Second Class Upper degree in Engineering, Sciences, Project Management, Finance/Investment, Business Management, Economics, or related fields. Reside in Abuja, FCT. Be 22–30 years old. Demonstrate commitment to improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers. Possess exceptional research, writing, and presentation skills, along with strong interpersonal skills, creativity, attention to detail, and empathy. Have experience managing a small business, working in a startup, or relevant exposure in investment banking, venture capital, or private equity. Be a self-starter with project management and leadership experience. Demonstrate the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and own workstreams within projects. Exhibit strong teamwork and leadership capabilities.
