The Bank of Industry (BOI) is pleased to introduce the RAPID Programme (Rural Area Programme on Investment for Development), a strategic initiative designed to empower micro and small businesses as well as community groups in rural areas across Nigeria. This programme is part of ongoing efforts to stimulate economic growth, promote financial inclusion, and improve the quality of life in underserved communities. Through accessible financing and targeted support, RAPID aims to drive sustainable development by enabling entrepreneurs and community groups to expand their operations and execute impactful projects. Programme Objective The RAPID Programme is focused on providing affordable financing and technical support to boost rural enterprise development and community-based infrastructure. It is specifically tailored to address the challenges faced by small-scale businesses and grassroots organizations, helping them scale operations, create jobs, and contribute to local economic development. Target Beneficiaries The programme is open to the following groups: Northern Nigerian jobs Micro and Small Businesses operating in rural areas Community Groups engaged in development-focused projects These beneficiaries are encouraged to apply for funding to support business expansion, improve productivity, and develop essential infrastructure within their communities. Key Features Loan Amount: Up to ₦10,000,000 Interest Rate: 5% per annum (highly competitive and affordable) Tenor: Maximum repayment period of 3 years These flexible and favorable terms are designed to reduce the financial burden on beneficiaries while ensuring they have enough time to grow their businesses and projects successfully.
