About Blossom Trust Founded in 1993, Blossom Trust is a grassroots NGO headquartered in Virudhunagar district, Tamil Nadu. The organization has spent more than three decades working to improve the lives of underprivileged women and vulnerable children through sustainable community-led development. Its programmes focus on: Women’s social and economic empowerment Community ownership and leadership Advocacy and awareness campaigns Skills development and capacity building Child protection and education Blossom Trust believes that women are central to building resilient communities. To achieve this vision, the organization establishes women-led community-based organizations and networks that encourage collective action and local leadership. In addition, the NGO invests in knowledge-sharing initiatives, advocacy, and vocational training to enable women to make informed decisions and improve their livelihoods. The organization also manages the Dayspring Children’s Home, which provides accommodation, education, and care for children living with tuberculosis (TB), HIV/AIDS, and those from vulnerable households. Internship Overview The Office & Administrative Coordinator Intern will work closely with Blossom Trust Director Mercy Annapoorani, providing executive and administrative support while helping coordinate daily office operations. The internship is suited to candidates who are detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. Successful applicants will contribute to improving organizational efficiency while supporting community-focused programmes. Key Responsibilities The selected intern will perform a variety of administrative and coordination duties, including: Providing executive support to the Director, including scheduling and correspondence management Coordinating daily office operations and ensuring smooth administrative processes Organizing digital and physical filing systems Drafting professional emails and managing communications Serving as a central contact point for internal and external inquiries Supporting travel arrangements and meeting preparation Maintaining office documentation and administrative records Assisting with digital workflow improvements through modern software and productivity tools Supporting team collaboration and information sharing The role combines traditional office administration with digital coordination, making it suitable for candidates interested in nonprofit operations and organizational development. Eligibility Requirements Blossom Trust is seeking applicants with strong academic backgrounds and administrative capabilities. Required qualifications include: Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s degree or MBA Academic background in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field Strong organizational and administrative skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Google Drive Experience using digital communication, collaboration, or project management applications Excellent written and spoken English Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Adaptability and willingness to work in culturally diverse community settings Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following attributes will strengthen an application: Previous experience in office management or executive assistance Demonstrated ability to introduce or manage digital systems that improve workplace efficiency Strong problem-solving and coordination skills Female candidates are preferred for this position Internship Duration, Benefits and Compensation The internship is based in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, India, and requires a minimum commitment of four months. Working arrangements include: Full-time internship Monday to Saturday Working hours: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM Flexible scheduling based on effective time management Interns will receive: Monthly stipend of 10,000 Indian Rupees Two meals per day, six days a week Basic accommodation provided by the organization The package enables interns to focus on gaining valuable professional experience while contributing to community development programmes.
