The Summer Research Fellow will support this work by developing evidence-based insights related to financial governance and inclusion in Africa. Fellowship Responsibilities The selected fellow will engage in rigorous policy and financial systems research while contributing to strategic discussions within the organization. Core responsibilities include: Conducting focused research on financial sector development and governance Producing analytical insight briefs Undertaking comparative research across countries and institutions Preparing briefing materials for Bridgforte convenings Supporting discussions linked to the Trust Lab initiative Synthesizing policy discussions into structured insights Collaborating closely with the Founder to refine research outputs The fellowship is intended for individuals capable of engaging deeply with complex real-world financial systems without oversimplifying policy challenges. Fellowship Structure and Benefits The fellowship provides flexibility while maintaining strong engagement with the organization’s policy and research activities. Duration The fellowship will run from: 15 June 2026 to 30 August 2026 The organization has also indicated that exceptional fellows may receive opportunities for continued engagement beyond the fellowship period. Work Format The programme will be conducted remotely, with participation in selected Bridgforte convenings and discussions. Time Commitment Fellows are expected to contribute approximately: 20 hours per week This structure makes the opportunity suitable for graduate students and early-career professionals balancing academic or professional commitments. Compensation Successful applicants will receive: A monthly stipend of USD $1,500 The funded fellowship supports researchers while allowing them to focus on producing high-quality policy insights and analysis.
