AYCF seeks to close long-standing equity gaps in climate finance by enabling youth-led climate initiatives to access sustainable, flexible, and impactful funding. Grounded in a participatory, youth-for-youth grant-making model, AYCF supports: Climate entrepreneurship and innovation Movement building Youth-led research Accountability, transparency, and collaborative climate action Scalable climate solutions across the continent With robust partnerships and alignment to global climate finance systems, AYCF operates as both a funding mechanism and a movement-building platform, empowering African youth to lead the continent’s transition toward climate justice and resilience. Role Summary The Director will lead the strategic growth, governance, positioning, and operational execution of the Africa Youth Climate Fund. This role is ideal for a visionary, purpose-driven leader committed to reimagining youth-led philanthropy, climate justice, and equitable financing systems in Africa. This is an opportunity to build and shape a transformative initiative from the ground up. Key Responsibilities The Director will: Provide strategic leadership and long-term vision for AYCF Develop and implement grant-making processes rooted in youth participation and equity Build partnerships with donors, institutions, and climate finance stakeholders Strengthen governance systems, accountability frameworks, and evaluation structures Mobilize resources and secure sustainable funding pipelines Represent AYCF at high-level climate, finance, and policy platforms Oversee operations, budgeting, reporting, and team coordination Amplify youth-led climate leadership across Africa Who Should Apply?
