Y+ Global is inviting applications for the HER Voice Fund (HVF) Ambassador program in Kenya and Zimbabwe. The initiative targets adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) aged 18 to 28 who are passionate about advocating for youth rights, health, and gender equality. This program offers participants a unique opportunity to influence policies and programs that affect AGYW at both local and global levels. Through this program, selected Ambassadors will actively engage in HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and community-led advocacy, strengthening their leadership skills while contributing to meaningful social change. Background The HER Voice Fund is a global initiative designed to support the meaningful engagement of AGYW and youth-led community organizations in Global Fund processes. It operates in 13 countries with high HIV infection rates among adolescent girls and young women, where gender disparities in HIV risk are greatest. The HVF is supported by ViiV Healthcare Positive Action and the Global Fund, and implemented by the Global Network of Young People Living with HIV (Y+ Global). It is anchored on the HER Voice Fund Strategy, aligned with the Y+ Global Strategic Plan 2022–2025, particularly the “Raise Our Voice” pillar, which focuses on accountability and ensuring that laws and policies reflect the rights and needs of AGYW in all their diversity, including: AGYW living with HIV AGYW with disabilities AGYW identifying as LGBTIQ+ AGYW in conflict-affected zones Rural AGYW AGYW who inject/use drugs AGYW who sell sex Pregnant AGYW and young mothers Eligibility Criteria Applicants must meet the following requirements: Female, aged 18 to 28, residing in Kenya or Zimbabwe Passionate about HIV prevention, SRHR, and general health advocacy Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to create impact Experience in advocating for AGYW and ensuring their meaningful engagement in HIV & SRHR programs Familiarity with local dynamics and existing networks in HIV, SRHR, and women’s health Understanding of national Global Fund processes is an advantage Ability to commit two years, with a minimum of eight days per month Proficiency in English (written and spoken) Competent in using computers and online communication tools (Zoom, Google Meetings, Microsoft Teams) with reliable internet access Benefits of Becoming an HVF Ambassador Selected Ambassadors will gain: Leadership and advocacy skills through a comprehensive development program Access to a global network of initiatives focused on HIV, SRHR, gender equality, education, and youth empowerment Opportunities to collaborate with peers, engage in public speaking, communications, and networking Honorarium compensation for participation and contributions Key Responsibilities HVF Ambassadors will: Represent the HER Voice Fund within their country and embody its values Develop and implement evidence-based advocacy agendas, focusing on the rights and priorities of AGYW Work with Country Leads to monitor commitments and plans at national and sub-national levels Support grantees and raise awareness of their initiatives Advocate for the Fund through media and communication channels Potentially join the Project Advisory Group to contribute to grantee selection Attend regional and global meetings to amplify AGYW voices in the HIV response Provide activity reports for grantee organizations and contribute to HER Voice Fund progress reports Report to the HER Voice Fund Coordinator at Y+ Global How to Apply Interested candidates should submit the following by Tuesday, 3 February 2026 via email to hervoicefund@yplusglobal.org with the subject line:HER Voice Ambassador: [NAME] (Country of Application) Required documents: Letter of interest (maximum 300 words) explaining motivation and experience advocating for AGYW Curriculum vitae (CV), up to 3 pages Recommendation letter from a reputable local organization working with AGYW About Y+ Global The Global Network of Young People Living with HIV (Y+ Global) is a youth-led organization supporting young people living with HIV to participate meaningfully in policy, advocacy, and program implementation.
