Description

The High-Level Managerial Course on Renewable Energy and the Energy Transition (Third Edition) is now open for applications, with the deadline fast approaching. This prestigious, fully funded programme is sustained by Enel Foundation and organised by RES4Africa Foundation, in collaboration with UM6P – Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. The initiative aligns with the Italian Government’s Piano Mattei strategy, which aims to strengthen sustainable energy cooperation with Africa. The course is designed to equip experienced professionals with advanced knowledge and leadership skills to drive Africa’s renewable energy transition. By combining online learning with an immersive in-person experience, the programme fosters both technical excellence and peer-to-peer exchange among energy leaders from across the continent. Programme Overview The course focuses on strengthening participants’ capacity to design, manage, and scale renewable energy initiatives that support sustainable development and energy security in Africa. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the technical, economic, and regulatory dimensions of renewable energy systems, with a strong emphasis on real-world application and policy relevance. Key programme details include: Dates: Online sessions: 30 March – 13 April 2026 In-person sessions: 15 – 22 April 2026 Location: Online and Ben-Guerir, Morocco Language of instruction: English Programme format: Fully funded Blended learning (online + in-person) Target Participants The course is specifically designed for mid- to senior-level professionals working in the renewable energy sector who are ready to take on leadership roles in Africa’s energy transition. Eligible applicants include professionals who: Have 5–10 years of experience in the renewable energy or energy transition sector Work in public institutions, private companies, utilities, regulators, or related organisations Are actively engaged in policy development, project implementation, financing, or regulation of renewable energy initiatives Priority consideration is given to African professionals, particularly those based in North and West Africa, including but not limited to: Morocco Côte d’Ivoire Egypt Mauritania Senegal Tunisia Ghana Republic of the Congo Learning Objectives and Outcomes The programme aims to strengthen leadership capacity and strategic thinking among renewable energy professionals by offering a multidisciplinary and applied curriculum. Participants will: Gain advanced knowledge of renewable energy technologies and system integration Develop a strong understanding of energy economics, regulation, and policy frameworks Explore financing mechanisms and investment strategies for renewable energy projects Strengthen managerial and leadership skills relevant to complex energy transitions Engage with leading international experts and African peers Build a strong professional network across the African energy ecosystem Institutional Collaboration and Strategic Alignment This initiative reflects a strong partnership between academic institutions, foundations, and policy actors committed to Africa’s sustainable energy future.
