The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced Industrial Attachment Opportunities for the May to July 2026 intake. In line with the Government’s Youth Initiative to nurture young talent for the Kenyan labour market, the Authority invites applications from continuing undergraduate students in their 3rd, 4th, and final year of study, as well as diploma students in their final year. This three-month Industrial Attachment Programme is designed to equip students with practical experience aligned to their academic specialisations. The initiative reflects KRA’s commitment to capacity building, professional development, and strengthening Kenya’s future workforce. Programme Objective The Industrial Attachment Programme aims to: Provide hands-on workplace experience in various professional disciplines. Support partial fulfilment of degree and diploma programme requirements. Expose students to real-world operations within a public sector institution. Develop practical skills that enhance employability and career readiness. Through structured departmental placements, selected students will gain valuable exposure to operational systems, administrative processes, and professional standards within a dynamic regulatory environment. Available Disciplines Attachment opportunities are available across KRA’s Support Services departments in a wide range of fields, including: Finance & Business: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Business Management, Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation. Supply Chain & Logistics: Supply Chain Management, Transport & Logistics, Fleet Management. Human Resources & Communication: Human Resource Management, Marketing & Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies, International Relations, Diplomacy, Communications. Creative & Media Fields: Photography, Videography, Film Production, Animation. ICT & Technical Fields: ICT, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering. Security & Legal: Security & Safety, Security Management, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Forensics, Law. Hospitality & Property Management: Food & Beverage, Hotel Management, Housekeeping and Laundry Management, Land Economics, Property Management, Quantity Survey. Information & Records: Records Management, Records & Archives, Library & Information Science. Health & Social Sciences: Counselling Psychology, Occupational Health, Disaster Management. Other Disciplines: Education, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Stenography. This broad scope ensures inclusivity across multiple academic backgrounds. Eligibility Requirements Applicants must meet the following criteria: Be a Kenyan citizen aged below 35 years. Be a continuing undergraduate student (3rd, 4th, or final year) or a final-year diploma student from a recognised university or college. Possess a valid introduction letter from their institution. Be available full-time for the entire three-month period (May–July 2026). Failure to meet any of the above requirements will result in disqualification. Important Information Applicants are advised to carefully review the following guidelines: Application deadline: Friday, 6 March 2026. Applications must be submitted online only via the KRA e-recruitment portal. Registration on the portal is mandatory before applying. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The attachment period will not be extended. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. KRA does not charge any fee at any stage of the recruitment process. Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of KShs. 7,000, subject to statutory deductions. If selected, candidates will be required to submit: Proof of valid Personal Accident Insurance Cover Copies of KRA PIN certificate NHIF/SHIF and NSSF documentation National ID card copy Bank account details Application Process The application process is structured as follows: 1. Registration Visit the KRA e-recruitment portal. Click on “Register” to begin the process. Confirm email registration via the verification link sent to the applicant’s email address. 2. Log In Access the portal using the registered username and password. Upon login, the system will open the “Applicant Cockpit.” 3. Create or Update Candidate Profile Navigate to the “Candidate Profile” tab. Click “My Profile” to create or update personal details. Complete all required sections. Finalise by clicking “Overview and Release” and selecting the confirmation checkbox. 4. Submit Application Click on “Employment Opportunities.” Select “Start” under Job Search to view available vacancies. Open the relevant job posting and click “Apply.” Complete all mandatory fields. Review and accept the Data Privacy Statement. Click “Send Application Now” to finalise submission.
