Call for Applications: Memories.ai 2026 Fall Research Fellowship with Paid Opportunities in Visual AI
globalsouthopportunities.com

Application Deadline

August 18, 2026

Description

Memories.ai has announced applications for its 2026 Fall Research Fellowship, a 12-week paid programme designed for Master’s students and early-career researchers interested in advancing research in computer vision, multimodal artificial intelligence (AI), and video understanding. Running from September to November 2026, the fellowship will select between five and eight researchers who will work directly with the company’s research team on cutting-edge projects focused on visual AI. Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of USD 1,000, access to dedicated computing infrastructure, one-on-one mentorship from senior researchers, and support to publish their research in leading AI conferences. The programme is remote-friendly, with optional in-person collaboration, and is open to international applicants. Memories.ai also confirmed that visa sponsorship will be available where required. The Silicon Valley-based company is developing what it describes as the world’s first Large Visual Memory Model (LVMM)—an AI architecture designed to process, understand and retain visual information over extended periods. Unlike conventional vision models that analyse individual images or short video clips, LVMM technology aims to create persistent, searchable visual memory that can support AI systems operating in real-world environments. Fellows will contribute to research across five core areas: Egocentric video understanding Large Visual Memory Models (LVMM) Real-time video intelligence Multimodal memory systems Large-scale data infrastructure ALSO APPLY: Remote Climate Consultancy Opportunity Opens: Concern Worldwide Seeks Expert to Unlock Future Climate Funding Pathways: Apply by 29 July 2026 According to Memories.ai, the fellowship is structured as an intensive research collaboration rather than a traditional internship. Participants will work on open research problems alongside company researchers while receiving access to proprietary datasets, dedicated GPU clusters, cloud computing resources through AWS and Google Cloud Platform, and personalised weekly mentorship. The company said it actively supports fellows in preparing research for publication at leading conferences, including CVPR, NeurIPS, and ICLR, providing guidance throughout the submission process. Eligible applicants include Master’s students in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning or related disciplines, as well as recent Bachelor’s graduates pursuing research careers. Candidates should have practical experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX and demonstrate research potential through publications or ongoing research projects. Memories.ai noted that applications will be assessed based on research ability and intellectual curiosity rather than institutional background, encouraging applicants from universities worldwide. The fellowship builds on the company’s recent research achievements, including projects such as SpatialMem, OmniRetriever, O-MARC, and MARC, which focus on improving AI’s ability to understand, retrieve and reason across video, audio and text data. Interested candidates can apply through the official Memories.ai application portal. Questions about the programme can be directed to Lily.x@memories.ai. The Fall 2026 fellowship represents another opportunity for emerging AI researchers to collaborate on frontier research while contributing to technologies designed to improve long-term visual memory and real-time video intelligence.
