About the SEAP Fellowship Programme The SEAP Fellows Programme 2026 is an intensive research-based fellowship focused on improving and expanding the second edition of SEAP. The programme is structured to support two full-time fellows who will work across Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Central Asia. It is designed to: Enhance knowledge production on statelessness in Asia-Pacific Improve accuracy and consistency of SEAP resources Support advocacy and policy engagement Strengthen regional human rights research capacity Build expertise in legal identity systems and citizenship rights Fellowship Duration and Structure The fellowship runs as a structured, full-time remote programme over three months: Start Date: 15 June 2026 End Date: 11 September 2026 Duration: 3 months (full-time, remote) The fellowship is designed for independent, self-motivated professionals who can manage workloads remotely while meeting strict research and editorial deadlines. Financial Support Each selected fellow will receive a monthly stipend ranging from: AUD 200 – 400 per month (depending on location) While modest, the stipend supports participation in a structured human rights research programme with international exposure and mentorship. Key Responsibilities of SEAP Fellows Selected fellows will contribute directly to the updating and verification of SEAP content through a structured research workflow.
