The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), in partnership with the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union | Global Dialogue, announces an open call for applications to its annual flagship event, Ideas Lab 2026, taking place on 2–3 March 2026 in Brussels. The programme targets young climate leaders from countries in the Global South who are committed to climate action and eager to engage in high-level policy dialogue. Ideas Lab offers a unique platform for participants to explore EU policymaking, engage with decision-makers, and gain hands-on experience in organising one of Brussels’ most influential public policy events. The programme encourages interdisciplinary exchanges and fosters connections across Europe and beyond. Important Application Notice Due to a technical issue in the initial application form, submissions made before 25 November 2025 were recorded without email addresses, preventing CEPS from contacting applicants. About Ideas Lab Now in its second decade, Ideas Lab has established itself as a key forum in Brussels for discussing major European challenges and opportunities. Each year, it attracts policymakers, researchers, business leaders, and civil society representatives for open and forward-looking debates. In 2025, the event drew nearly 800 participants and over 200 speakers, including European Commissioners, Members of the European Parliament, ambassadors, leading academics, and industry leaders. Participants gain valuable insights into policy development, networking opportunities, and a behind-the-scenes understanding of event organisation. Participant Profile and Eligibility CEPS seeks young climate leaders who meet the following criteria: Age: 20–35 years old. Nationality: Citizens of countries listed in the application form (Global South). Language: Good command of English. Passion: Demonstrated commitment to climate action. Availability: Able to travel to Brussels from 1–4 March 2026. Previous Participation: Individuals who have not attended Ideas Lab before. Eligible participants will have travel, accommodation, meals, and visa expenses covered. However, no financial remuneration will be provided for participation. How to Apply Applicants must complete the official application form by 10 December 2025, 23:59 CET. Only submissions through this form will be accepted.
