The adidas Foundation gGmbH is inviting applications from experienced consultants or expert teams to design a peer-based mentorship methodology for its global United by Sport (UbS) Community of Practice. This assignment focuses on building a practical, scalable mentorship framework that supports organizations working at the intersection of sport, inclusion, and social justice. The deadline for applications is 12 July 2026. About the Opportunity The adidas Foundation is seeking a specialist to co-develop a structured yet flexible mentorship approach that strengthens learning and collaboration across a global network of sport-for-good practitioners. The United by Sport (UbS) Community of Practice brings together organisations using sport to address discrimination, exclusion, inequality, and social fragmentation. Within this context, the Foundation aims to build a mentorship model that is not hierarchical or top-down, but instead rooted in mutual learning, trust, and peer exchange. The consultant will play a key role in translating these values into a practical methodology that can be implemented independently and scaled across multiple cycles of programming. Assignment Focus The core objective is to design a peer-based mentorship system that enables structured yet flexible learning exchanges between practitioners. Key expectations include: Development of a clear mentorship framework applicable to both 1:1 and group-based formats Creation of guidance materials, onboarding tools, and facilitation resources Integration of principles of trust-building, safeguarding, and power awareness Design of mechanisms for lightweight documentation and knowledge sharing Ensuring the model is low-burden, adaptable, and scalable across diverse contexts The final output should enable the adidas Foundation to independently implement and sustain the mentorship model within future iterations of the UbS network. What the Work Involves The consultant(s) will be expected to: Analyse existing mentorship practices within peer-learning and community-based networks Design a non-hierarchical mentorship architecture grounded in participatory learning Develop structured tools for: onboarding participants facilitating peer exchanges capturing learning outcomes Address key risks and considerations, including: safeguarding in peer mentorship environments managing unequal power dynamics between participants Produce a final implementation-ready methodology toolkit The assignment prioritises clarity, usability, and adaptability over complexity.
