Connecting Women-Led Organizations to Global Fundraising Skills and Community The SparkUp Initiative Fellowship is a transformative global capacity-building program designed to strengthen women-led organizations by equipping them with essential fundraising expertise, practical tools, and a supportive community of peers. The fellowship empowers women leaders to expand their impact, secure sustainable funding, and confidently navigate the international donor landscape. This initiative welcomes women-led organizations across diverse sectors—including education, health, gender equality, environmental justice, economic empowerment, policy advocacy, indigenous rights, and other fields—recognizing that women’s leadership plays a critical role in driving community-centered and equitable development. Program Overview The SparkUp Initiative offers a comprehensive blend of training, mentorship, and collaborative learning. Through the fellowship, participants gain the ability to design effective resource-mobilization strategies, craft compelling proposals, and build long-term fundraising systems within their organizations. The program helps leaders strengthen their institutional capacity while enhancing their visibility and competitiveness in global funding spaces. Fellows will have the opportunity to: Learn how to design and implement a fundraising strategy tailored to their organization’s needs and mission. Build and refine project concepts and full fundraising plans aligned with donor expectations. Develop hands-on skills in grant writing for international foundations, bilateral agencies, and public institutions. Explore innovative and emerging approaches in crowdfunding, digital fundraising, and community-based resource mobilization. Receive personalized mentorship and expert guidance from seasoned fundraising professionals. Engage in peer learning, collaborative problem-solving, and cross-regional exchange with other women leaders. Join a supportive and inspiring community committed to advancing gender-responsive development and organizational resilience. The fellowship is particularly valuable for women-led organizations aiming to scale their work, diversify funding sources, or strengthen their internal fundraising systems. Eligibility Criteria The SparkUp Initiative Fellowship is open to a broad range of women-led organizations that meet the following criteria: The organization must be women-led, with a woman holding a primary leadership position (e.g., director, CEO, founder, or program lead). Applicant organizations must be based in developing countries across Asia, Africa, or smaller European nations. Organizations from any sector or thematic area are welcome, including grassroots groups, NGOs, and community-based organizations. Both newly established organizations and experienced, well-established organizations are eligible and encouraged to apply. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to organizational growth, collaboration, and long-term impact. Fellowship Structure The SparkUp Initiative Fellowship is designed to accommodate the needs of busy organizational leaders while providing high-quality, interactive capacity building. Duration: Two months of structured, comprehensive support. Format: Online group sessions that are interactive, participatory, and skill-focused. One-on-one mentorship with fundraising experts tailored to the fellow’s organizational context and goals. Peer learning opportunities that foster collaboration, shared challenges, and collective problem-solving. This flexible structure ensures that fellows can integrate learning into their day-to-day work while gaining practical tools that benefit their organizations immediately. Application Requirements To apply for the SparkUp Initiative Fellowship, candidates must submit the following materials by 20 December 2025: A completed application form, providing organizational and leadership details. A one-page concept note outlining a project or fundraising idea the organization wishes to develop during the fellowship. A current CV of the applicant, highlighting relevant experience and responsibilities. A signed letter of confirmation stating that the applicant holds a leadership position within the organization. These documents help the review team assess the organization’s readiness, clarity of purpose, and alignment with the goals of the fellowship.
