Climate Action Network (CAN), one of the world’s most influential civil society coalitions dedicated to combating the climate crisis, has announced two new openings: Network Development Assistant and Campaign Officer. Network Development Assistant Organization: CANDeadline: 1 December 2025 Role Overview The Network Development Assistant will play a key role in supporting CAN’s efforts to strengthen, expand, and coordinate its global membership network. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in collaborative environments and are passionate about civil society engagement, climate justice, and international partnerships. Key Responsibilities Assist with outreach to existing and potential network members Support the coordination of capacity-building activities, working groups, and cross-network collaborations Help maintain and update membership databases, records, and communication tools Participate in organizing virtual meetings, webinars, and member engagement events Contribute to preparing internal reports, documentation, and communication materials Assist in mapping regional organizations and identifying opportunities for network expansion Preferred Skills & Qualifications Strong interest in climate justice, civil society movements, or sustainable development Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage data, track progress, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders Experience with CRM systems, databases, or collaborative platforms is an advantage Ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones Detail-oriented and proactive, with strong follow-through This role is well suited for early-career professionals seeking hands-on experience in network coordination, climate advocacy, and organizational development. 2. Campaign Officer Organization: CANDeadline: 1 December 2025 Role Overview The Campaign Officer will help design, coordinate, and implement campaign strategies that advance CAN’s global advocacy goals. This is a dynamic role requiring creativity, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to climate action. The ideal candidate is passionate about mobilizing civil society voices, building public awareness, and supporting global climate campaigns that push for equitable, science-based policies. Key Responsibilities Support the planning and delivery of global and regional climate campaigns Help develop campaign materials, messaging, toolkits, and digital content Coordinate with member organizations to align strategies and amplify collective advocacy Assist with event planning for campaign launches, press events, and global mobilizations Track climate policy developments and support rapid-response actions Contribute to monitoring, reporting, and documenting campaign outcomes Preferred Skills & Qualifications Strong interest in climate policy, activism, or communications Experience supporting advocacy campaigns, public mobilization, or civil society organizing Excellent writing and content creation abilities Familiarity with social media strategy, digital engagement, or campaign analytics Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks Strong teamwork, coordination, and problem-solving skills This role is ideal for candidates eager to drive impactful advocacy and work closely with global partners advancing ambitious climate action.
