Fellowship Structure The fellowship runs over a 10-week period and guides participants through the process of developing an actionable AI adoption strategy. Key Components of the Programme Practical AI Learning Participants move beyond theory to explore responsible, real-world AI applications relevant to their organizations. Strategic Change Management The programme focuses on building stakeholder support and internal alignment necessary for long-term AI adoption. AI Adoption Planning Fellows develop a customized AI Adoption Plan tailored to their organizational systems, goals, and operational needs. Mentorship and Expert Support Participants receive guidance from vetted implementation partners, mentors, and a global peer network. Fellowship Timeline Weeks 1–2: Onboarding and Problem Framing Participants establish readiness baselines and identify the organizational challenge they want to address. Weeks 3–4: Use Case Development Fellows refine their AI use case and identify key stakeholders needed for implementation. Weeks 5–6: Design and Roadmapping Participants build implementation frameworks covering governance, risk management, and operational planning. Weeks 7–8: Draft AI Adoption Plan With mentor support, fellows develop a draft implementation-ready adoption strategy. Weeks 9–10: Final Plan and Capstone Participants finalize their AI Adoption Plans and receive peer feedback during a concluding capstone event. Beyond the Fellowship Graduates become part of an ongoing global community of practice focused on responsible AI adoption in mission-driven organizations. Who Can Apply? The fellowship is open globally and is delivered in English. Eligible Organizations Include: Registered nonprofits and NGOs Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) UN agencies and affiliated bodies Country offices, regional hubs, and functional units within larger organizations The programme is designed for teams working on operational or mission-critical challenges where AI can create measurable impact. Ideal Candidates The fellowship is best suited for professionals who: Have organizational support from managers or senior leadership Are positioned to drive institutional change Can lead implementation efforts after the fellowship Are interested in ethical and responsible AI adoption Typically, organizations may nominate 1–3 participants to work collaboratively on a shared use case.
