Role Purpose The Graduate Engineer position is designed for emerging professionals seeking technical experience in mining, processing, and engineering operations. The role supports engineering functions across the Sepon site and contributes to ensuring that plant and equipment operate to budgeted availability, performance, and cost targets. Under the supervision of senior engineers, the successful candidate will engage in engineering planning, maintenance support, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement activities that align with company standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities The Graduate Engineer will gain practical exposure across a range of engineering and operational functions. Key responsibilities include: Developing a strong understanding of plant and equipment, including design specifications, technical drawings, operating strategies, materials, and safety instructions. Supporting engineering systems and processes such as document control, change management, master data processes, operational readiness reviews, engineering standards, and budgeting workflows. Working with condition monitoring teams to understand plant health, compliance requirements, and predictive maintenance indicators. Assisting with selected engineering tasks and projects that facilitate the practical application of theoretical knowledge gained through academic study. Contributing to departmental reporting by developing strong technical writing skills to support monthly and quarterly reporting activities. Supporting the delivery and execution of approved engineering designs, improvements, and maintenance schedules aligned with operational needs. Helping ensure that plant equipment meets regulatory and statutory requirements, particularly related to safety and engineering compliance. This hands-on exposure provides graduates with a valuable foundation in mining operations, asset performance, and engineering management. Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience Candidates should possess: A diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field. Foundational knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles, supported by university coursework or internship experience. Familiarity with plant maintenance concepts, tools, and standard measuring instruments. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. A valid driver’s license. A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced operational environment.
