A leading Indigenous land rights network in Kenya is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to serve as Coordinator under a temporary contract. Network is the largest national open network of Indigenous communities and community-support organizations in Kenya. The organization is dedicated to: Advancing community land registration Promoting climate justice Supporting sustainable natural resource management Formalizing community land rights under theCommunity Land Act No. 27 of 2016 Mission & Impact CLAN! empowers communities to: Secure and formalize land rights Protect natural resources Strengthen inclusive governance systems Build climate-resilient livelihoods Since inception, the network has grown significantly: 85 total members 54 local & Indigenous communities 31 NGOs and CBOs Presence across 21 counties in Kenya Grant Management Structure As an unregistered, open network, CLAN! works through grant-holder organizations selected from its membership. These organizations manage project funds under a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Currently, the grant holder is: Chepkitale Indigenous People Development Project (CIPDP) Registered Kenyan NGO Based in Kitale Position: Coordinator The Coordinator will play a central leadership role in managing programs, strengthening partnerships, and advancing CLAN!’s strategic goals. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Strategic Planning & Implementation Develop comprehensive work plans and budgets aligned with CLAN!’s strategic objectives Formulate implementation plans to ensure timely achievement of project milestones Resource Mobilization Support fundraising efforts through: Proposal development Networking with financial partners Enhance CLAN!’s long-term financial sustainability Reporting & Accountability Prepare accurate and timely programmatic reports Review and consolidate reports from co-implementers Network Coordination Facilitate effective coordination of network activities Ensure alignment of all programs with CLAN!’s mission and objectives Innovation & Capacity Building Introduce innovative tools and systems to improve operational efficiency Strengthen network capacity through new ideas and approaches Duties Perform tasks assigned by the CLAN!
